Don't worry if you have little or no previous experience of contemporary dance, your dance experience may be in other dance styles such as ballet, modern or street dance, thats no problem.

As a member of MYDC you will take part in Ignite.

Ignite is a unique youth dance development project. Each year members of MYDC commission 2 professional choreographers from across the UK to create new dance works with them. They lead the whole process from shortlisting and auditioning candidates to making the final decision on which choreographers to commission. Each commissioned choreographer follows a very different process. The project culminates in exciting public performances in Monmouthshire and Cardiff.
