Joanna Young to become Dance Blast’s  first Associate Artist.

We are delighted to announce that Joanna Young, professional dancer and choreographer is to become Dance Blast’s first associate artisit.  We have known Jo for many years and have supported her throughout her training (she started with Dance Blast at the age of twelve) and her professional career. We are all really excited about the possibilities of working together in our beautiful new Dance Centre.

Jo will use the Dance Centre as her base when she is in Wales; she is about to embark on an MA in Choreography at  The Place (London Contemporary Dance School in London) Jo will develop her own work at the centre and in the new year will create a piece specially for MYDC.

Through our Associate programme we aim to support dance artists at an important time in their development, enabling them to focus on their creative practice. The associate artists will engae with the wider Dance Blast programme, specifically MYDC.
