Who We’ve Worked With

  • Children, families and their friends in Monmouthshire – the thousands of people that either participate or bear witness to family members who participate in Dance Blast activities are important partners without whom we would have no reason to exist.
  • Borough Theatre, Abergavenny – partners in the creation of Dance Blast, ongoing supporters and host of many of our performances and events.
  • Local venues – The Drama Centre Abergavenny (run by Gwent Young People’s Theatre), Bridges Community Centre Monmouth, Bulwark Community Centre Chepstow, Monmouth Priory, Usk Community Centre, Gilwern and Raglan schools all host our ongoing programme of workshops
  • Aneurin Bevan Local Health Board – GP referrals to regular dance workshops.
  • Monmouthshire County Council (Education) – annual dance Taster sessions, primary and secondary schools.
  • Individual schools in Monmouthshire – health awareness days; GCSE Dance coaching; alternative curriculum activities.
  • National Youth Dance Wales – through their Peer Recruitment programme.
  • Monmouthshire County Council (Older People’s Strategy) – Inter-Active intergenerational dance project.
  • Monmouthshire County Council (Schools Improvement Team) – Schools Blast two-year dance project.
  • Monmouthshire County Council (Youth Service) – workshops for ‘PLATFORM’ arts development programme.
  • Torfaen County Borough Council – schools workshop/performance for Torfaen Carnival; primary schools workshops in Communities First areas.
  • Monmouthshire County Council (Safer Communities) - Skate Blast – dance, skateboarding, BMX and music workshops at Caldicot Comprehensive with young people at risk of exclusion.
  • Community Dance Wales and Foundation for Community Dance – Dance Blast is a member of these organisations.
