Catherine Weaver, Chair

Catherine has worked in the arts sector for the past sixteen years and has worked with organisations including: Valley’s Arts Marketing; Coliseum Theatre Aberdare; Sherman Theatre Cardiff; Cardiff Arts Marketing; Blackwood Miners Institute and Monmouthshire Adult Education. Since 2003 Catherine has worked as the Arts Development Officer for Monmouthshire Youth Service.

Carol Brown

Carol is Director of Tan Dance, the community dance organisation for Swansea and Neath Port Talbot, which was recently featured in community drama, ‘The Passion’ which was spear-headed by Port Talbot-born Hollywood star, Michael Sheen and shown on BBC1. She is proud founder of Dynion Male Dance Co. Carol is Vice Chair of Valley and Vale Community Arts and chaired Community Dance Wales for two years.

Sue Caswell

Sue was born in Monmouthshire where she continues to live, and work, in human resource management for Monmouthshire County Council. She has a long-standing association with Dance Blast as a parent and a good knowledge of the local area.

Toby Nelmes

Toby lives in Abergavenny and runs Nelmes Design, a graphic design company in Cardiff.

Helen Vincent

Helen is a freelance music teacher who has been involved in arts education for more than 20 years, working in schools and the community. She is currently Chair of Pentreffest, a voluntary organisation which promotes European dance and music throughout Wales and beyond, with whom she both dances and teaches dance.

Sue Weston

Sue Weston currently teaches Qigong, T’ai-Chi and Mindfulness courses and classes in Wales, Stourbridge and Twickenham and leads residential retreats on Holy Isle, Scotland. For many years Sue worked in the performing arts as a professional dancer, choreographer and artistic director in all media: film, TV and theatre. Sue is based in Monmouthshire.
